Each school handles their 'Announcements' web parts a little differently. While the school divsion home page has an "In the News," Valley Elementary uses the traditional "Announcements" web part name, and Bath County High School & Millboro Elementary call theirs "Take Note." It doesn't really matter what you call the thing--it is really a SharePoint Announcements web part. So, how do you add an announcemnt?
From your school home page, just log in at the upper right, then click on Add New Announcement. The announcement goes into a holding queue until someone with greater web 'rights' approves the announcement.
